Some companies have given a highlight on which models of their smartphones and tablets will be updated and which won’t be updated to Android 6 Marshmallow. That is updates and new versions for all their own devices that are less than 18 months old.
The following are the specific and speculations:
Google Devices:
The following Google devices and phones have already been or will be updated to Marshmallow: Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Nexus 5, and Nexus 6.
These will not receive marshmallow update and are deprecated: Nexus 10, Nexus 4, and Nexus 7 2012.
Motorola Devices:
Phones to be updated to android 6: 2014 Moto Turbo, Motorola DROID Turbo, 2014 Moto MAXX, 2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE, 2014 Moto X in Latin America, Europe and Asia2, 2015 Moto G, 2015 Moto X Play, 2015 Moto X Style, 2015 Moto X Pure Edition, and 2014 Moto X Pure Edition.
HTC Devices:
Phones to be updated as per their official twitter account: HTC Desire 826, HTC Desire 820, HTC Desire 816, HTC Butterfly 3, HTC One M8 EYE, HCT One E8, HTC One ME, HTC One E9+, HTC One E9, HTC One M9+, and HTC One M8 (Beginning at the end of 2015).
Samsung Devices:
Speculations of the Samsung phones and tablets that will receive marshmallow update: Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy Tab S2, Galaxy Tab S2, and Galaxy Note Pro.
